GRAVA is a professional padel brand using a unique artisanal production process

 

All our padel rackets are engineered, created and handcrafted in Europe (Spain)

 
A profesional padel racket is quite a complex piece of engineering composed with various high-end materials all contributing to it´s unique performance

1. DESIGN  & MOLD CREATION

Our Engineers design the rackets thoroughly, determining shape, design, style, weight distribution, balance point, and the pattern of the holes to achieve professional, reliable and powerful padel rackets

 

2. CORE

A lightweight foam called EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) or PE (Polyethylene) is cut and molded to form the internal core of the racket providing flexibility and elasticity. The density of the foam affects power and control, denser for power, softer for more control

 

3. LAYERING FIBERS

Layers of HEXCEL CARBON FIBER are cut with precision and placed around the foam. The layers are oriented and applied to add strength and flexibility where needed

 

4. RESIN

We use a High Performance Eco Epoxy Resin in order to obtain a perfect and enduring glue for our manual lamination complying with all current homologations and EU certifications

 

5. MOLDING AND PRESSING

The layered materials and core are placed into the mold. The mold is closed and subjected to high temperature and pressure in a press. This process cures the resin and fuses the materials together into a solid reliable racket frame

 

6. SHAVING AND CAULKING

During the shaving process we eliminate any imperfections and remains of material that appeared during modelling. The caulking process serves to mend any defects or deformations on any part of the padel racket

7. SANDING

During the sanding process we leave the surface completely smooth and prepared for its later stage of painting and applying logos, artwrok and our embossed G-surface

 

8. PAINT

During the painting process we customise our products with special paint made from first quality compounds, to endow them with an exclusive and perfect finishing touch. The rackets are primed and spraypainted by hand and carefully dried in controlles heated areas. We apply a special protective UV coating to all our padel rackets in order to give them transparency, impermeability and resistance to direct sunlight. We are one of the few exclusive manufacturers using artisanal screen printing directly, to apply the logos, artwork and our embossed G-Surface for optimal control, guaranteeing a perfect adhesion increased grip and reducing weight

 

9. HOLE PATTERN DRILLING

Holes are drilled based on a specific pattern in the hitting surface providing optimal aerodynamics and performance

 

10. TRIMMING AND SHAPING

Edges are trimmed and smoothed. The frame is inspected for defects or rough areas and hand-finished if necessary.

 

11. FINAL ASSEMBLY

A soft plus performance handle grip is wrapped around the handle. An antibacterial and water-repellent, adjustable cord is attached at the bottom for safety, a personalized cap and our professional 3D padel protector are manually applied using heat which provides extra protection against unwanted impact

 

12. QUALITY CONTROL
Each of our professional padel rackets undergoes weight, balance, flex, and aesthetic quality checks. If fully approved a holographic serial number will be applied and the racket is ready to go global!
